    customCSS plugin for 3.+

Posted 12 years 3 months ago
    • Hey!
I'm experimenting with moving a site to 3.0. The old site used Andy's CustomCSS plugin. It doesn't seem to work in 3.0. I'm not a programmer but comparing to a 3.0 there doesn't seem to be a huge difference. Could anyone with a better understanding help me figure out how to fix it?
      Thanks

    • I have to admit that I don't know what that CustomCSS plugin actually do?

This is how you create a custom CSS file...
      www.gantry-framework.org/documentation/j...-a-custom-stylesheet

When we release upgrades template files will change and you will have to reapply all your changes again (that's if you can remember where they all are). If you keep your changes in a separate Custom CSS file you'll have no issues upgrading.

    • Been fiddling with my old adjustments from CustomCSS plugin in the new way you suggested and I'm not succeeding in getting it working. I am beginning to think it isn't that CustomCSS isn't doing what it used too but that my CSS changes aren't getting recognized with LESS and such. Did I mention I missed those nice explanations and handy tools from the Magazine too bad it didn't last.
I'd be glad to send a pm so you could look under the hood.
      Thanks

    • You don't need any extra plugin to add a custom CSS file because this feature is built-in into Gantry 4.x 8)

I suggest that you remove that old plugin unless your template is extremely old.
