Buddypress register page

On my Gantry enabled website, I cannot access the Buddy Press register page to create new accounts. Every time I go to this link, it redirects me back to the home page or gives an error message or leads me to a site I called "register" but simply is a site created by me with no register function.
I know I need to change things in "settings" --> buddypress --> pages. But well... I cant solve that there really.
When I disable Gantry and go back to the Buddy Press default the register page works.
Maybe someone has similar problems.
Help please. Thank you!

Im having the same problem, using the Kirigami wordpress theme. and also installed the gantry buddy press plugin, but it looks outdated...
Where you able to solve the problem?

Hi there,
well partly.
Step 1:
In the admin area go to pages --> add new
There is a box which says "page attributes" on the right hand side.
Unter the "Template" dropdown menu you can choose "Buddy Press".
Name the title "register" and leave the rest be.
Step 2: Then you can go to settings-->buddypress-->pages and link the wordpress register to the buddypress register.
However, I do have three installations of wordpress. And only in one of them I could do Step 1. Simply because in the other two there was no "Buddypress" to choose from the Template dropdown. Only "Standard" or "Contact Form".
I do not know what I did to have this option in the other one. I compared a lot but don't get it. Unfortunatelly in the one I will acutally be using it is not there
I'll let you know if I find out or maybe someone else can tell us.
