Problem with mod_roknavmenu in Infusion Template

Posted 11 years 11 months ago
    • Dear rockettheme team,

I have restored my website - www.yoga-northnorfolk.co.uk/ - from the backup (based on the infuse template). Checking the website it is throwing an error for roknavmenu module. I have looked in to this and can not see the reason why. Please help to resolve this issue. Thank you!

      Here is the error message:

"Fatal error: Call to a member function findChild() on a non-object in /home/olgavas/public_html/modules/mod_roknavmenu/helper.php on line 164"

    • hi olya,

apologies for the late reply, i must have missed your post.
i see your using joomla 1.5 which is no longer supported unfortunately.

best would be to upgrade to j2.5.

    • Hello Kat,

fair enough! How should I proceed with the upgrade to J2.5? Should I upgrade first Joomla and then template using changelog file j2.5 in the download section of the infuse template?

Your help is appreciated very much!

    • I tried to install Joomla_1.5.0_to_1.5.26-Stable-Patch_Package.zip, but it didnt work out. Error message: Error! Could not find an XML setup file in the package.

What would you suggest, I could do?

      Thank you!

    • If your site has not to many articles etc., it might be the best to start with Joomla 3.1.5 right away without the migration from 1.5.x to 2.5.x and then again to 3.1.x

It's not the nicest way but probably the fastest. Just copy&paste the text in the new Joomla 3.1.5 articles.

    • hi olya,

björn is mostly right with his suggestion, there is just one problem. infuse is only compatible with j1.5 and j2.5, but not yet with j3.x. so unless you want to use a different template now, you would need to update to j2.5 first.

      www.rockettheme.com/joomla-templates/compatibility-matrix

the documentation can be found here:
docs.joomla.org/J2.5:Migrating_from_Joomla_1.5_to_Joomla_2.5 but you could also rebuild your site manually like björn said.

going from 2.5 to 3.x later on in the future is not as difficult. it's usually an automatic update from within the joomla admin.

please also note that for the infuse template, it's a different package for version 1.5 and 2.5, so you can NOT just update it by updating the changed files mentioned in the changelogs.

      kat :)
