empty span gives trouble

Hi,
TinyMCE HTML parser doesn't allow empty span tags unless they are padded with a
Could you please make this "best practise" when making eg. custom HTML in your templates because when you save a module containing empty tags with eg. JCE it will strip the html and you will have to dig it up again and redo your work

If you use some other Joomla editor (for example RokPad) or configure JCE not to clean up HTML source code of the article, you won't have such issues

Hi Igor,
Maybe I'm wrong.. but I dont really like rokpad2 because it isn't a wysiwyg editor and not very user-friendly for a "no-tech" admin - but it works just fine with empty spans, and so do jce when you put in no breaking space
It's not a big thing inserting this space when you know JCE will break it, but I just hoped RT would put it in so this kind of thing couldn't happen

- Well, I guess this could happen but on the other hand, I believe that this can be avoided in JCE configuration so it wouldn't happen

That should really be checked with JCE developers. We really can't provide support for 3rd party extensions
