I was glancing through the tutorials when I realised that I take for granted being able to find the answer to almost any Joomla problem somewhere here... Then realised how exceptional that is.
RT has succeeded in creating a remarkable community which combines versatility and depth of knowledge with an unusually high level of good will. No matter how naive the question, people almost always get a prompt, friendly and helpful response - which encourages newbies to stay with Joomla despite the frequently mentioned "steep learning curve". Clearly Andy's passion, talent and personality provides the foundation for all of this, and James is fabulous in his new role and certainly helps to pull everything together, but there are dozens of other unofficial voices who contribute their expertise and make RT the joy it is to use. As this isn't the Oscars I won't name names - the list is too long - but thank you all!
I've also noticed that my queries on the Joomla.org forum recently seem to get a response from Amy S within minutes - which given the scale of the forum is astonishing. Whatever dissenters may say about the upheaval of changing to 1.5 and the GPL debate, with this level of professional support and such a strong positive community atmosphere Joomla seems destined to a glowing future!

I remember back when I was new to Joomla and Rockettheme. No-one hesitated to offer me a little help or a few words of encouragement. This is why I try to contribute where I can. It's kinda like the "pay-it-forward" theory.
Even when i was going through my bone marrow transplant, there was always someone here who had some words of encouragement. I really needed and appreciated it and now I try to offer the same to others.
