Gantry and Roksprocket Updates and my settings

Posted 11 years 9 months ago
    • Does anyone else have this problem? Whenever I have to do an update to Gantry or Roksprocket, it resets both to their original settings and I have to go back in to the ftp and change my settings back to what I had done. Is there a fix to this?

      Thanks,
      Braden Walker

    • How do you this update? Do you remove Gantry and RokSprocket first and then install new version or do you just install on top of existing extensions? How exactly do you reset your settings through FTP when you need to do it?

    • I just click on the update. When I do that it resets everything back to the original settings. I then have to go into gantry css files under the grid css files and change the settings again. Any suggestions for a fix?

    • You shouldn't change Gantry core files. You should use custom css file

This is how you create a custom CSS file...
      www.gantry-framework.org/documentation/j...custom_stylesheet.md

When we release upgrades template files will change and you will have to reapply all your changes again (that's if you can remember where they all are). If you keep your changes in a separate Custom CSS file you'll have no issues upgrading.
