SOLVED fractional layout Gantry to fit Google Ads

Posted 11 years 9 months ago
    • I'm racking my brain to figure out how to make a 300 px column to fit Google Ads nicely.
Using responsive layout on any of the new templates I am able to get a side column of 250px which is a 3 or 350 px which is a 4.

Since google Ads don't fit very well can I add to Gantry a layout in the mainbody of 4.25, 4.25, 3.5? By my calculations this would give me 300 px in the right column.. Is this possible? I see on the gantry site how to make a 10, 2 layout.

      Any other suggestions?

    • I am afraid that you can't have fractional numbers as ratio for module positions

    • Thx Igor.. Back to the drawing board I guess..

Any Advise? What would you do if you needed to fit a 300 x 250 ad (javascript from Google Ads) into a sidebar? I can just throw a black module class suffix around it, but I fear that won't be professional enough and possibly the advertisers may complain that the image is shrunk down to 250 by the responsive design..

The help and tutelage is always much appreciated.. thx. You guys do a great job..

    • I guess you could customize the template to the maximum and change specific template grid widths through css. You will need to do that for all screen sizes using mediaqueries. This has been discussed throughout the forum a lot
