Add Search box

Hello,
I have the crystalline template and i'm trying to add a search box to my site home page www.lawn-ranger.com.au
I have gone to module manager/ new and entered all the necessary fields. No matter which position i choose for the search box's location it wont show on the home page. When i click onto my other pages it mucks up everything as well.
Can someone please help me do this correctly.
