"rt-social-buttons" completely missing

  • "rt-social-buttons" completely missing

    • My fixed social buttons on the metropolis template have completely vanished. I've been trying to figure it out on my own now for a while but I'm waiving the white flag. A few days ago they were still present but I can't tell if I lost them through my recent custom.css updates or through experimenting with the fixed header.

I know the normal order of flow in firebug is usually rt-showcase->rt-social-buttons->rt-transition. At first I thought maybe they were just off screen somehow but when checking with firebug now I can see that "rt-social-buttons" is gone. I've cleared the cache and checked, unchecked and rechecked the "show social buttons" toggle in the Template manager to no avail.

      I've already had
      div.rt-social-buttons{display:block!important;}
in my custom.css for a while so I don't know what else to do. Any help would be much appreciated.

    • The social buttons are controlled from template manager > features - and they seem to be turned off on your site?

btw I am moving this thread to "metropolis" as it is a template specific question.

      Regards, Mark.

    • Appreciate the reply!

That's what it seemed like to me code-wise as well but my in my template manager my "show social buttons" is turned on.

This is my current template manager view:

Is there any possible way that that function from backend to frontend is being overridden?

      Thanks again

    • Your Joomla version (2.5.8 ) is out of date - please upgrade this.
Your Metropolis template (v1.1) is out of date - please upgrade this.
Your Gantry is out of date (4.1.2) - please update this.
Nearly all of your RT extensions are out of date - please upgrade all of them to latest versions.

Your PHP allow_url_fopen setting is disabled - please enable this (so you will know when there are updates available in future).

As always PLEASE BACKUP FIRST before upgrading anything. Also once you have done the updates clear your SERVER cache and BROWSER cache.

Then I can look again if the issue still remains.

      Regards, Mark.
