    • It's an article loaded from a different page. So its a link on my home page of site like the "Privacy Statement" for my site but its an article on another page of my site.

So can I code it differently?

      Here's the code i use:

      [rokbox size="1000 500" title="Privacy :: Privacy" text="Privacy"]/privacy-statement/[/rokbox]

    • I've gone both routes with what Damir suggested and they both have their benefits.

For the uploading a custom HTML file route, this will be reading the file as a single web page on its own so in my opinion, it's best to create a new directory in your Joomla Root install, so "public_html" for most people, and put a blank "index.html" file in there as well.

This way you can keep all your extra files you need in one directory and organized and the blank index.html file will prevent someone from being able to visit that directory and seeing a file structure listing.

My reason for using the template override and a more simplified template is when other users need to edit the articles. At that point its just a user editing and article and displaying it as any other Joomla article...just choosing fewer modules to show on that particular menu item.

    • Thanks Ben for your explanation.

But I'm using Wordpress. Sorry, should have clarified.

That being, where would I create a my new directory for putting these html pages in it?

I'll add the index.html but not sure where the folder will be. Also, how would RokBox know where to find the file? Is it specified by URL?

      TIA

    • Oh, ok. I haven't used this in Wordpress, but if RokBox can load a file or pdf, then it can load a page as well.

The directory is really up to you. If you want to call it "/extras", its just a matter of where you put it and then you call the file up directly.

In your sites root would be:

      www.mydomain.com/extras/myfile.html

If you want it in a subdomain or a wordpress directory:

      www.mydomain.com/wp-content/extras/myfile.html

Then its just a matter of call it up by that direct url.

No fancy stuff really. You can set a size in rokbox if you want it to popup in a specific size or just do full page.

      Heres the script I used:

Should I use a pdf for this? Is that a good idea or bad for SEO?

      Any suggestions?

      TIA again!
