    • Hi, I'm new here and just getting started...my question is why do the Rocket Launchers always include a full Joomla install? If you are just starting your site, it's wonderful that is everything is included for you...but what if you already have all of your content in administrator and all you want to do is change templates? The only way to get them to look identical to the demo is by installing the Rocket Launcher. For example, I have been working with Joomla for close to a month now and have already uploaded 3 installs of Joomla because I have been learning through trial and error. I had no idea that I could install a Rocket Launcher and get everything I needed in one install!!! So I just created a subdomain and installed my first Rocket Launcher...it looks exactly like the demo. My problem is I've already been working on a template on another subdomain and I've already added all of my content to it. So will I have to start ALL over every time I want to change templates???

    • The RocketLaunchers are a good reference to use when installed in a subdomain just like you mentioned you did. I personally don't think its a good idea to start a site with one because you have so much content in there that you really don't need.

      Look in forum of the template you're using and in the Tutorials and Guides section you'll see instructions on how to set up the demo content. Since very site will have different content for different purposes, there is no way for us to have an install that will just do it with your content automatically.

      Keep the content you have and go through the Guides and you'll be able to get your site set up the way you want.
