I installed the chapelco-rocketlauncher_j30 on a test site. The Joomla version was 3.0 something. But, when I went to update Joomla to 3.2 I now get a blank white screen on both the front end as well as the admin area. I checked the error_log file and find this new error...
[19-Nov-2013 14:03:38 America/Chicago] PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /home/sowhatbe/public_html/rok-chap-tst/plugins/system/remember/remember.php on line 94
I have increased the Resource limits as follows... but no help, still blank.
That is not connected to RT.
That Joomla updater is just buggy. 'To get the site back
rename
/home/sowhatbe/public_html/rok-chap-tst/plugins/system/remember
to
/home/sowhatbe/public_html/rok-chap-tst/plugins/system/remember_bak
I would suggest to install J! 3.1.6 .... after that you can try to update to 3.2 again.
After that I suggest to fix the database via the build in Joomla function.
Hello, and thanks a bunch, I managed to do what you suggested and down upgraded to 3.1.6, then back up using the Joomla update functions to go to 3.2 and all seams to be working again on this test site.
One other question as far as what you suggested, "After that I suggest to fix the database via the build in Joomla function".
Just what do you mean by the built in Joomla function to fix a database. Is this an option in the backend to do this?
However, it appears I am right back to where I started, before installing this test site. I was trying to evaluate this Chapelco template on a site I am working on, which I recently upgraded to Joomla 3.2, but had another RT template on it. I had decided to scrap the other template and go with the Chapelco, but when installing this template at the end of the install, before it was installed, the screen went blank/white as discussed above.
So, I decided test out the Chapelco with launcher which did work, and is what I am wanting to go with, but when testing out this site to see if I could install another RT template, I now get the blank/white screen again.
The only errors I am getting are as below...
[19-Nov-2013 17:30:17 America/Chicago] PHP Warning: Module 'PDO' already loaded in Unknown on line 0
[19-Nov-2013 17:30:17 America/Chicago] PHP Warning: Module 'SQLite' already loaded in Unknown on line 0
[19-Nov-2013 17:30:17 America/Chicago] PHP Warning: Module 'pdo_sqlite' already loaded in Unknown on line 0
[19-Nov-2013 17:30:17 America/Chicago] PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/opt/php53/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20090626/pdo_mysql.so' - libmysqlclient.so.16: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0
If you know what these errors are, that would be great, cause I am recently getting these on all my Joomla 3.2 upgraded sites, which I know is not an RT issue. Just haven't figured these above errors out yet.
But, it appears that when using Joomla 3.2 I cannot install a new RT template. I know it is possible when using an older Joomla 3.0 something, which came with the Chapelco launcher I am testing out, but once I get to 3.2 I can no longer install RT templates.
