The menu link directly next to my home page link on the horizontal nav bar is linking to the home page as well. I cannot seem to make the menu link next to the "home" link go to its respective link.
I'm not sure if this is a css issue or not as i had to change the css to widen the whole menu bar so all the page menu items would fit across.
Thanks in advance for your help on this.

Thank you for your understanding.
Could you please post a URL to your site so we can look for you. Without a link to page where the problem is on your site it is quite hard for us to provide the best solution due to so many variables. We try to provide file names and line numbers for code changes and if changes have already been made then our advice may be incorrect.

Wow amazing - your not currently a subscribed member and that's not an RT template. I guess we can only take that as a compliment that you would turn to RT for assistance.
