    • I hope this is the right area to post this item
I do not think it is content specific to the Joomla Spectral theme.
And I could not find a category for K2.

Anyway, Bing indexes the K2 articles just fine on my site.
Google seems to index the article when the intro is on the home page in a module, (that is what comes up in the Google search) but not the page itself that the article is on.
So I think after two months of this I would like to revert to standard Joomla articles as I really need to have Google find the articles.

Is there a tutorial on how to switch back? The K2 website seems barren on this.
I have K2 articles, categories and home page modules. If I make my menu point to new standard Joomla categories that I create, then I think the Home page new modules will work.
But, my question is what happens to the couple hundred articles that were made with K2? How do I link them, if I have to, to standard Joomla categories? Or do I have to start all over with articles?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
There are items in K2 that I like, but being indexed by Google is more important.

    • Thanks for the information.

Here is what I did to get found in google search.
I made all new categories and modules (for the front page).
      Made all new menu items.
All new featured articles slide into the home page modules.
Results: my google articles come up in the search ;-)

      What I did with K2:
Killed the menu items. Killed the categories.
My few hundred articles that were added in K2 articles I will not try anything with as far as database manipulation.

Going forward I will never look at K2 again.

What I think was going on:
First the K2 canonical problems which you can read about online. I solved that with a Joomla extension.
But I think there were way too many page titles and descriptions (inserted by K2) that Google does not like. It did not effect Bing.
Now when I look at the source page for an article it looks normal compared to my other Joomla sites.

We can close this thread out as solved!
