    Responsive Table Extensions

Posted 10 years 8 months ago
    • Has anyone tried any of the responsive table extensions from the Joomla site? This was one that I was particularly interested in.

      www.tabulizer.com/index.php/demo-tabulizer-in-action

I have 2 column tables in one of my Oculus websites that are responsive but the 6 column tables aren't and I don't have the knowledge to sort through how to fix that.

    • Okay you created the tables in TinyMCE and obviously they're not responsive. The neatest CSS solution I've seen to do this is here -> http://css-tricks.com/responsive-data-tables/
Essentially he uses the same idea of media-queries to convert off-screen horizontal content to on-screen vertically stacked content.

I did try the Tabulizer demo though and it seemed to work well for responsive, so the choice is yours.
      Also Googling - responsive tables

    • Hi Dan - I actually copied the tables from a document provided by the association. It was either a word document or a PDF - I can't remember which. I use Editor - JCE.

I attempted to rebuild a new page with JCE here but cannot get responsive.

      www.wsqha.com/index.php/association/irre...ible-tables-test-jce

I installed RokTables and got a responsive table but I can't read everything in the columns so that's not enough of a solution.

Unfortunately, I think much of this is my lack of experience and knowledge with CSS and the inner workings of websites.

I think perhaps my best bet is to rebuild those pages into 2 or 3 columns which seem to work out the box, so to speak, with other tables that I have used on the website.

I did Google responsive tables and that is how I found the extension. Some of the suggestions out there are too advanced for me unfortunately.
