No template working! [updated: working]

Hi
My site got hacked, and malicious links were inserted into the template. I deleted the old template and installed a new RT & Gantry, but the template isn't working at all: the site modules are there but clearly not calling on the template.
I'm at a loss as to why the template isn't working. I've installed anotehr template to see if that worked, and it doesn't either. Gantry has been successfully reinstalled and the library, component and plugin are all enabled.

- Anyone? We're really anxious about this. It seems to be a problem with caching because when we reinstall the template it works for a minute, but then the template shuts off again. We've got cached turned off on both gantry and the site, what are we missing?

- The virus generally would set itself up outside the template folder so re-installing the template won't get rid of the virus. There are numerous viral apps at http://extensions.joomla.org/

Thanks, but it's not a virus.
The template only works when I run the site with Debug set to "on". I know caching WON'T work with Debug on, so why does the site template only work when debug is on?
