Remove all content from Homepage

I can't figure out how to remove any "content" from the homepage? I am using the metropolis template and the demo site does not have content on thier homepage...but in my install, I can't get rid of content on the homepage (shows up as a long white box accross the site with nothing in it.
Here is my page:

As you can see on the metropolis demo, there is no content box

A few notes - in my template settings:
Mainbody enabled: OFF
My HOME menu item is set to featured articals...for which I have none.
