RocketTheme & Google Webmaster Tools

    • I recently completed a website redesign using a Rockettheme rocket launcher package.

Once I was done I confirmed the package with Google Webmaster tools so that I was able to manage/ monitor the site.

I discovered that most of my Google indexed keywords were very generic and not specific to my clients services. I also discovered that Google was indexing unpublishedand unlinked pages.

My questions are these. Should I delete all of the unused sample content?

Second how do I ensure that Google will index good keywords and not the generic keywords.

I should point out that I did provide a site description and keywords at the Joomla! install.

Is there a good overall strategy for cleaning up a Joomla! website once you've completed the design? This would be really helpful.

Thanks for any help and insight.

There is no such strategy. All is really dependant on the website and the content
