cant log in to my sites from the front end ! no error appears

hi all ..
for some reason i cant log ing to two of my sites. i enter the name and password then i press the log in button but nothing happenes .. its like im pressing the refresh button !!!!!!! .. i use those two sites for testing modules and components .. when i found out 1 hour ago that i cant log in to both from the front end .. i removed one using fantastico .. reinstall it .. and i still cant log in ! so i removed it
i went to the other site .. and found out that i have the same problem !! i dont care about the two sites .. all i care about is my original site which is ok so far .. but being wondering why am i not being able to log in ! would i have this problem with the site im working on
please help ???

- in global config you have the option to allow front end login - i'd hazard a guess that you've got that set to no

- As strange as it sounds, I'm having the same problem with my site as well. The odd thing is, it appears I'm not logged in, but I am. And then if I refresh the page, or navigate to another page (within the site), I'll then see the "member only" links appear on my menu bar. It hasn't bothered me so far, but it's interesting to know that other folks are experiencing similar problems.
