SOLVED Site dead. 500 - JHtmlBehavior::mootools not found after upgrade
Posted 9 years 4 months ago
I have been upgrading all of my J2.5 sites with no issues until now. I just updated a website and the front end is not displaying. Here's the error: 500 - JHtmlBehavior::mootools not found.
I looked around the forum and found two references:
- RokTweet module causing a conflict. -- I'm not using RokTweet. Also, I disabled all of the modules on the site in case one of them was causing a conflict and it doesn't appear to be that.
- Directory Permissions. -- I checked and they are all as they are supposed to be. Everything is writteable, configuration.php is unwritteable.
I always follow the same upgrade process: I update all of the extensions first. After, I check to make sure the site is still up. Then I update Joomla.
This site uses the Crystalline template
I created a super-user for the site and posted it in the Secure tab for ease of access.

UPDATE: I did a little more research and found the issue addressed/resolved in a template update. I installed the template and everything is working ok now.
Hope this helps someone else in the future. I'm marking the thread as solved.

You have two old extensions installed that need to be updated to latest version to be compatible with J3.x - you can download these from the extensions page under the "legacy" tab.
update those first and then I can look again.
