    SOLVED Help with choosing template

Posted 8 years 10 months ago
    • Hi,

I would like to ask you if you could advice me from which template I can make a web similar to this. And if it is possible to make it easily from G5. I do not want to use Roksprocket. I want it to look like the webs on both links. I would use it for 2 pages on my web.
I did not find any onepage template and I did not even find anything with the stripes that would have parallax. A bit similar is Requiem and Isotope, but I do not know how to make it as onepage.

      1.
      https://www.zonerama.com/

picture all over the screen (full screen) and then only lines (I do not know how to call it, I mean the strip with text and pictures) and parallax background

      2.
      http://www.greenpeace.org/czech/cz/pralesy/?utm_source=internal&utm_medium=post&utm_term=red%20alert,forest%20fire,otan,sidebar,nexus,indonesia&utm_campaign=Forests&__surl__=IgSo7&__ots__=1448692011969&__step__=1

if I use this type template on same page I do not want the page to scroll but to move one page to another. I hope you understand me.
Something like Joomlart have here on web.
      http://uber.demo.joomlart.com/index.php/landing-page

From which template would it be the best to do it?

      Thank you for your advices.

    • The new'ish Isotope template has two positions with backend parallax settings...but wish we had a 'parallax particle' that called the necessary js and css to pull it off on the fly.

    • radek - Please note that by the other member answering your post you take yourself out of the MODS "unanswered posts" queue and therefore you might have to wait longer for a response.

I am sorry that we missed your post on this occasion. It is rare but it does happen. Do you still require assistance?

    • Ok so as you've seen, Isotope already supports the parallax. So if you want to make a one page template in Isotope then you just make your menu items link to bookmarks (named anchors) on the page http://www.echoecho.com/htmllinks08.htm . You can use our sections IDs or you can add an ID to the block or the particles on your layout (which is better for SEF). Finally to get a nice smooth scrolling effect for those named anchors please read my tutorial here http://www.rockettheme.com/forum/gantry5-for-joomla/249639-smooth-scrolling-creating-your-first-atom-revised (it was written for Callisto but it's the same principal).

      Regards, Mark.

    • OK, I will try it. Is it possible to achieve onepage as Joomlart? I do not know how to exmplain it. I mean when you click on 1 menu item (on the example from Joomlart - the circle), you see only 1 page (it moves about 1 screen). Joomlart has different onepage template. It moves page by page (screen by screen). I hope you understand me.

      Thank you.

    • I had a look at it yesterday and I do not understand it much. I do not know how to explain it I want onepage for home page but onepage must work as in Joomlart.

I looked at the anchors and I think it is not what I look for. It makes onepage template but when is 1 page (anchor) is short I can see for example 2 anchors on 1 screen (my monitor has vertical resolution 1200px). You can see example here
      http://demo.themexpert.com/joomla/bizcorp

I do not know if I explain it well, I do not know how to say it in English. I just see a big difference between Joomlart Onepage and common Onepage template. Joomlart always shows only one page (screen) and this is what I need.

Please look at the attachment. Maybe you will get it from there.

    • What you need to do is to make sure each of those sections has a full page height - you can do that with CSS by setting a min-height of 100vh.
