There is an update to a template I use but I've made a few changes to the template and I don't want to lose these.
If I upload the new template will I lose?
I guess my question is, what is considered best practise when updating a template to the latest version.

- the settings should not be changed. if you modified specific template files then you need to look at the changelog of the template and make sure you are not overwriting any files that you modified by uploading only the files that were changed in the current update. If one of those files is on the list of changed file you will need to make a copy of your modified version of such files and then make similar changes to the new version's corresponding file/s
