Template advice for diary site

- Hi, Does anyone have a suggestion for a suitable template for a diary website. I would like users to be able upload events with a pic or two. The events uploaded need to be searchable by type, date and location. Any developers out there who would like to get involved?

the functionality would be resolved using the proper extension for events. As far as specific template that would depend the preferences or desires of the owner. Maybe an idea of what the theme or the context of the diary would help in making that choice.
