Particles Image upload not working

I am trying to upload images using the Particles IMage Grid image chooser. It's been working OK but today, I've tried to upload two images of no more than 185Kb each and I get a red exclamation mark and nothing gets uploaded.
Any ideas ?

Please would you post your URL, superuser id and pswd in the secure tab of your post and i'll have a look for you.
Give me exact steps to recreate.
provide image as an attachment here.
Please do a screenshot of your problem and annotate to show the error.
