SOLVED Give us a hint as to which particle is which?

Posted 8 years 6 months ago
    • Is there a way to find out what type of particle it is? In RokSproket it shows us which type of Sproket Layout it is.

It would be really useful to know from the module manager which particle is which so we can choose the right one to edit.

    • What you display is what I want to see.

      I see this instead. goo.gl/76tsmt

Github. Got it, thanks, I can do that :)

Seems like this is already solved somewhere but just not showing on my version. Could it be Advanced Module Manager or something like that?

    • Well Regularwebs overrides the entire core module manager.
No chance for us ... and I'm sure Peter will not add support for Gantry.
If you use the core manager you will see what I posted.

    • Ah, what a pain. Not your fault, I understand, and you are right, Peter is unlikely to support Gantry. I can but ask.

      Thanks for the response.

    • As expected he says RT should support Advanced Module Manager if they are doing a module manager override.

How are you achieving this result? I think it's useful, if I can work out how to create support, I will simply give him the solution or give you the solution, or both.

    • You can't really blame Peter either as he needs to replace the core Joomla thing with his extension to achieve the features he wants.
On our side I would think we should expect core Joomla functionality.
Sometimes it's just like that. I can't really tell you how the devs get that particle hint into the manager - I'm not a dev ;-).
Best place to ask is the gitter chat. You can also add a request on Github.

    • Nope, not blaming anyone, will look to fix it myself if possible/easy (I'm no developer either). If it works I'll let Peter have the code, if he doesn't want to implement it, I will provide my fix in these forums for others.
