Hi,
I dont know if this is the right place to post this.
This is my 4th attempt to upgrade a joomla 2.5.28 site.
I get this horrible error message. I have followed every tip and instruction I could find online.
Please can somebody help me. The site is on GoDaddy so nobody knows anything

Hi Michelle,
Your next upgrade will fail too. There is a fault in Joomla that insists on having the upgrade channel for older versions including 1.7 and that is what is breaking the site upgrade.
The errant files are found in administrator/components/com_admin/sql/updates/mysql/ as previous upgrades may not have deleted the 1.7 files. If there any then delete them BEFORE you run the upgrade.
