  • SOLVED Ordering within Newsflash Module pulling Articles by Category. Not working?

    • I'm afraid to "break" something. The 10 or so changes I've made (based on what I've searched for) in article ordering, modules, menus, etc have had no effect. I'm here in hopes someone has an answer.

      I have a newsflash module that pulls articles I've assigned to a "News" category. No matter what I do, it will not change the order using the various Order Results or Direction within the module.

      I would think no matter how it's setup in the other areas (article, menu, etc.) the module would be the final "say" in how it's displayed / ordered, but appartently that's not the case.

      Any help?

    • Well I found an other way to do it, but I don't like the look of the menu setup like category blog list. I'll experiment and find a middle-ground somewhere, but I'd really prefer to figure out how to accomplish my original question ordering articles within the module.

    • Heya Mark, thanks again I've kept your login, however I removed the module I had setup. While it's currently changed and not setup the way I want, I'm going to just experiement until I get something close. As I mentioned I'm still figuring out a bunch of this stuff. While I usually can figure things out via searches and experimenting on my own, I tend to get hung up on stuff most industry people easily know how to do, as they've done it over and over.

      So I don't want to waste your time with this, I know it would be a walk in the park for your expertise and I'm certain I just need to work through it (good for me anyway). But again I'm just so thankful you'd even offer to look, truly kind of you!
