I have a site that uses the Photon template. When upadates are processed through Joomla update manager, are the template files updated? If so, how can I know which features are updated? I would be willing to purchase an upgrade if I knew the features I want were included.
Specifically, what would make me want to upgrade would be improvements to the Gantry 5 particles. I would like the News Slider to stop displaying a slide when the associated article publish date expires. I would also like the ability to directly diplay an article in Content Tabs, and to use {loadposition} to insert other content into tab content. I enjoyed all of those features with the old RokSprocket module.

Hi there,
Our templates are not upgraded via the Joomla updater. This helps to prevent customisation being lost if people did not create overrides etc.
You can always check updates for a template by looking at the changelog. If you go to the templates page and select the template you want to check then you will see a changelog button.
Don't forget that you can still use roksprocket in Gantry 5 templates if you wish.

Thanks, David. Looked at the Photon changelog. It doesn't look like what I'm looking for has been done.
Concerning using RokSprocket with Gantry 5 -- I like to use Rocketlauncher because I have no idea how to make the site look like that. If I use Roksprocket that is not a part of the launcher install, I would have to figure out how to make it look good. Correct?

Hi Stan,
Roksprocket comes with default layouts which can be seen in the extension demos. These can be coded as overrides and create what ever layout you want. Here is the page where you can see roksprocket options as defaults. demo.rockettheme.com/live/joomla-extensi...oksprocket/features/
If you look here - ivf.org.uk/health-professionals/meet-the-team - the image grid of Doctors is roksprocket mosaic. The difference is that I rewrote the code to suit that layout and create the effects.
