SOLVED Dropdown Menu CSS file wont load..

Issue with this file loading, seems to slow site rendering to 20+ seconds......the file seems to take 15-30 seconds to load
/templates/rt_audacity/css-compiled/menu-dropdown-direction.css
Is there a reason that this file all of a sudden would not load... ?
site url in secure section...
Recent upgrade to 3.7.4 seems to have messed up a few admin areas too, with missing admin menu items ...but dont know if this is related...

Clear your browser and server cache that file loads for me in 47ms.

Ive done that ....and multiple times before I reached out...the issue came to light in chrome and still persists, if its server cache what cache are you talking about as IVe cleared the joomla cache dozens of times......and in IE it doesnt even load the background color at times now...see the IE ss attached.... - Black & White must be making a come back

I can see from your screenshot that you are getting an error code 522 on that file. This is almost certainly because you are using cloudflare. Try disabling cloudflare on your server and clear it's cache.

- Mark, thanks again....i had a sneaky feeling it might have been related to them....ive started using them on all my sites....and I must say they save me sometimes...but boy oh boy do they present so may other issues...especially with SSL....its like the devil you do or the devil you dont...cheers...i'll look into that later today...

Unless you are a multi-national that needs to serve pages from local country base server then in my opinion you don't need to be using a CDN at all. Cloudflare always tends to break many things "out of the box" unless you are prepared to invest the time and skills necessary in configurating it to work well. For this reason I do not personally use Cloudflare at all unless it's for one of my big multi-national corporate clients.
