    RocketTheme Update for 08/17/2017

    • Hello everyone!

Notio for Joomla Released, and Additional Features are Inbound

Notio for Joomla has been released, and I'm happy to say that not only does Notio feature a ton of new particles that take advantage of CMS data (in addition to manually-created items) but there is an update coming soon that adds additional Ajax features including dynamic pagination within particles.

This addition didn't make its way into the initial release because of a time constraint. We felt we had to get Notio out the door today as it is ready to go, but Joomla makes things a little tricker than WordPress and Grav when it comes to this particular feature. So, we decided to release it as it is with promise of an update in the near future.

The WordPress and Grav versions of Notio are expected to have this feature on release, which is expected very soon.

That's not to say Notio isn't ready to make your next magazine/news site shine. It's packed with features that I'm hurrying to document.

      Notio Documentation is Coming Soon

I don't generally start documenting a template until it is released. The reason for this is that we are making changes to it up to the minute we send it out the door. Because of that, documentation usually takes 24-48 hours after release. This has been our process since we introduced RocketTheme's documentation system.

So, look for these docs either late tonight (Thursday) or Friday.

We want to thank you all again for your patience on this one. As you can see, there are a lot of new particles and a ton of CMS integration points involved in Notio. We also made some pretty big updates to Gantry 5 in the process.

Thanks for that, it's a great improvement to Gantry5 templates. When we as a web site developers deliver a finished web site to a final client, It's important to keep the client out of Gantry5 administrator.

I hope your Grav templates also go to the same direction, I mean to have some of the main template particles get content from Grav pages instead of direct edit. Also would be helpful to have twig proccessing inside particles (others than HTML particle).

To be honest, until now I haven't used much of your great Particles in Gantry 5, due to the fact that it is hard for a final client (not web savvy content editor) to make changes safely.

    • Congrats RT dev & design people, Notio was worth the wait. Your new strategy of taking a bit more time to make the design more substantive and user experience more polished, has worked with Notio. Really looking forward in putting this template to good use.
