  • configuration.php file not included

    • I am trying to install the complete 1.5 package of hivemind but for some reason, the configuration.php file is missing so that I am getting a message telling me so, obviously I can't go any further. What is going on?

    • The configuration.php file is created when you go through the installation process.

    • doesn't seem to be doing it for me. I get as far as being told to delete the installation folder which I do, but then when I go to view the site,I get this message "No configuration file found and no installation code available. Exiting..."

    • Rather I use RocketLauncher or the actual J install I always get the web installer. Let me give you a hint on how I install J and RL.

      1. I upload the .zip or .rar file directly to the server (I.E. Joomla_RT_Chromatophore_j15.zip)
      2. Then I log into my cPanel
      3. Go to the File Manager
      4. Click once on the file I uploaded
      5. On the right hand side of the screen click on Extract file
      a. This will put all of the files in its own directory
      6. Use a FTP program to move all of the files to the root directory
      7. Delete the directory the extraction program made
      8. Go to the URL of your site

This saves me about ½ hour or better on the install

Give that a try you will be amazed how much easier it will make things
