Search Results Displaying in wrong area

Hey Gang,
I am using the Hyperion template.
When I use the Search feature and enter a word that I want to search, the results are displayed near the bottom of the page under the "Recent News" section, with all the other module positions visible above it. The results are displayed so far down the page, I didn't know it actually was displaying results!
If I use the demo template on the Rocket Theme website and make a search, the search results are displayed at the very top of the page with Module User 1, Module User 2, and Module User 3 displaying above it.
How can I view these results from the demo template? (I used Rocket Launcher - but must have fiddled with a setting to alter the display)
Similarly, I've added a poll. When the poll is clicked it too displays the results under the Recent News position.
How do I correct this issue?
