Hi,
I've been modifying my website's look n feel and the SEO side of things ( www.gurkhafc.com ). I've come across an issue I was not aware of when working on Joomla. I realised when clicking and navigating sections within the website the URL does not appear to be what I had expected, e.g. when clicking News, the URL becomes gurkhafc.com/index.php?option=com_conten...icle&id=69&Itemid=85 . I want it to be www.gurkhafc.com/news .
It would be great if you could advise/help out...

- Assuming you have J1.5 , turn on SEF URL's in global configuration.
- Say no to Internet Explorer 6.

Thanks for the response mate...
I'm using version 1.5.6.
I tried switching on the SEF URL's but most of the pages do not get displayed for some reason. Couple of my programmer friends (php) reckons it's the due to the design I'm using (MetaMorph)...A similar thing had happened when I was using different templates in the past.

Sure, the way I do it:
1.) Open filezilla
2.) Remove the .txt and move the decimal to the front
3.) Left with .htaccess
(I struggled changing the name in a Windows environment the first time, so used Filezilla to do it...any ftp program would work, I am sure).
