    • We're actually have been working on both for the past few months. The great thing is that a huge portion of the work that we initially did on Grav is making it way over to Gantry5, and also some of the Gantry5 things are making their way to Grav.

There's really been a great synergy of development between the two projects and we believe that both projects will be better for it!

    • We recently released the first beta of our new simple flat-file CMS called "Grav". It started off as my own pet project but we ramped up development to get the intial beta out. We're about to release a pretty solid 0.9.0 release this coming week.

      Check out:

Better hosting providers will give you a possibility to use multiple versions of PHP on the server

That's a pretty "link-bait'y" statement so let me clarify.

That's clearly not what I said. In short, we felt there was a need for a simple CMS for those that didn't need the features and complexity of traditional CMS platform such as Joomla or WordPress. We couldn't find one that fitted our needs so we made one. This was done to provide our customers with more choice as the vast majority of support questions we get relate directly to using the platform and how that interacts with our products. If we had a simple platform available for people that want simplicity and speed, that only helps everyone right? Joomla and WordPress both do their jobs well, but if you wanted say a simple single page site that is quite trendy right now, you have to jump through lots of hoops to make that happen in Joomla, not so in Grav.

That doesn't mean we're moving away from Joomla, this website was JUST rebuilt using Joomla and frankly I don't see how we could of built it in anything else based on the functionality we needed. But simpler sites, they would be perhaps be a perfect fit for Grav.

Are you sure there is no upgrade to learderboard to enable it to run on PHP 5.4?

I didn't write my previous reply very clearly. Better hosting companies will allow you to run different PHP scripts using different versions of PHP in the same time on the same user account
