SOLVED Joomla 1.5.8 strips out javascript and html

Posted 16 years 6 months ago
    • Hello guys

After upgrading to joomla 1.5.8 it strips out every custom html and javascript in my articles. (I don't mean the custom html module but when writing articles.) And yes I deactivated tinymce in the global configuration and in the user settings. When using rockethemes, you sometimes have to add some custom code to an article. Does anybody knows a solution how to disable this unwanted strip out of javascript an custom html in articles in Joomla 1.5.8? I searched the Joomla forums but did not find anything yet

      Greetings Mazalien

    • I foud the solution guys and i hope it is usefull to all the members :

The HTML filtering options can be turned of as follows:
Open the article manager, then the parameters. Scroll to the bottom of the window and set the options appropriately.
      1) Click "Blacklist (Default)" to keep things as they were prior to 1.5.8.
      2) Remember to select a user group in the "Filter groups" field or your changes will not take effect.

      Greetings Mazalien

    • Great post, Mazalien; thanks. I patched to J1.5.8 and noticed it was stripping out my onMouseovers, so this was quite timely. ;)
