    • Well, the only problem I had with IE6 was with the PNGs - except for the pre-RT days. When I began to use RT Templates I had no trouble. I didn't see the trouble that everyone was talking about. I knew there was something to it, but it wasn't happening to me.

Same with IE7. I installed it over my IE6 about three weeks ago. All 7 of the sites that I manage look good. I also have looked at many of the sites in the Member Sites forum and they looked good too.

I don't know what to make of this. I still use FF as my main browser and double check with IE7.

    • in case you've noticed my thread posting activity today you'll see i've taken a good whack at fixing IE7 issues in the existing templates, only ones left to resolve some very minor issues are globalbiz, macphoria and primetime/glossy paint.

now if i could only get the joomla.org template to work in ie7!

    • I found IE on differing systems can produce errors.

After having my website online for months I opened IE (No Choice) at work to take a peek at a post and I found 2 render issues I had not seen on 3 other PC's.......

The strange thing is, it did it to all the PC's at work (I had to see, I was stressing out!)

The menu Floated above the webpage and the gallery was a mess.....

      Thanx Bill!

      ahhh god that felt good!

    • I take that back. I just updated and checked my site, the png image still has a background :(

    • you will probably have to remove the PNGfix or anythign that is doing fixes for IE

    • I already did a while ago. It fixed the PNG issue, but made the rest of the site corrupt so it wasn't worth it. I don't know why, but my png logo is still getting a background in IE7.

I've found that if I save my .png to 8bit I don't have the problem, but when I do non-interlace 24bit I do have a problem.
But then again IE7 randomly makes the ones I do interlace backgrounded. :/

    • See I tried the 8-bit and it didn't work either. I don't know what the deal is. I'm going to try something else.

I've just noticed my friend's site running GlobalBiz has a few errors in IE7! Any idea when you'll get round to this template Andy?

The template has been slightly modified to incorporate a full width top image, in IE7 this totally disappears! I've checked on the demo on RT and it's only the borders that are missing, hopefully with these fixed the top image will come back.
