RocketLauncher Sample Data Problem

I see this question has been posted several times and I apologize for beating a dead horse, or which ever saying your prefer, but I, too, am having an install problem I cannot resolve on my own.
I am installing the Replicant v2 template using RocketLauncher and cannot get any sample data to appear. After completing the installation the template is not selected as default and only the header/footer appear. I assume this is because there is no data or modules created at this point.
I can log into the Control Panel and make the Replicant v2 template my active template. So, it seems all is working except the creation of the sample data.
I deleted the existing website and database associated with it. I have tried the installation using Firefox and IE. I have uploaded the files and directories both individually using ftp and by uploading the .zip container file and extracting it on the server. I don't know anything else to try. The install works, just no sample data.

You need to install the sample data, the demo content for the site.

Install Sample Data?
If you want to replicate the site with all the sample content, click on ‘Install Sample Data’.
If you don’t want to install the sample data, click next, a prompt will appear confirming that you want to skip. - Thanks,

Thanks for responding, Jem.
I forgot to include that in my initial post. I have been clicking on the button and my cursor turns into the hourglass but nothing ever happens. I have completed the process many, many times and the hourglass never goes away. I have even left it alone for 30 minutes but still no data was installed.
I tried installing the sample data manually by editing the sample_data.sql file and copying it into my database. I changed all the '#__' to 'jos__' but that still didn't work.
The version of MySQL run on the server is 5.0.27. The PHP version is 5.1.6/w Zend.
Is there a compatibility problem with Joomla 1.5.8 and one of the above versions? I tried to install the standalone Joomla package without the template and still could not get the included sample data to install.

If you can't install the standalone package with sample data either, I don't think it's RT template reIated.
It sounds like a permission error or a memory limit with the php.ini file on your host.
A) If you've been FTPing your files, try uploading the zipped installer and extracting on the server.
Check the memory limit of your php.ini on your host, by default most are set to around 8MB, try to increase it to at least 32MB.

It doesn't seem to be a RocketLauncher problem. I agree. Thank you for your help with this.
I checked the memory limit and it is set currently at 32mb. I do not ftp the files, I load the compressed file onto the server and extract it there to retain all formatting and structure. Can you think of anything else which could be a potential problem?
When using IE to install the package I get a yellow triangle in the bottom left corner with an exclamation point on it. It is a brief error message which says Permission Denied when I try to load the sample data. Could this be a chmod problem?
I also get the exact same results using Joomla 1.5.7
