Assiging Modules to RokSlider (or whatever the name is)

    • I'm trying to assign a module in the "header 2" position from the slider on the homepage but I can't or don't know how.

      Example: www.rfdtvbeta.com/live/
If you click the Marty Stuart or Hee Haw slider I want to assign a module to the header of that featured content.

      Help, please.

    • First step is to make sure that you have the featured content linked to a menu - the menu doesn't need to be published, you just need it to drop entries into the database so that you can select it as a display page for the module you create with your module manager. Then, proceed as normal to create the module in your desired module position.

    • Thank for the help. I assume I would do the same for the login link as well.

    • Your login module is displaying fine from what I can see - but yes, you can use this method all over the place. It's also the way that you can get Joomla Articles which are displayed on the front page to open up under their own unique Itemid (the bane of many novice Joomla users).

It's a nifty little technique that I highly recommend for many things you may want to do with your site - so tuck it away in your toybox and drag it out to play with often. You'll doubtless find many situations that call for it.
