Is the renewal price the same if I wait until after my membership expires? I ask because mine expires on July 31 and I will renew, but if I wait until August I will end up getting one more template at the expiration (assuming that I don't renew again next year).
Let me preface this next paragraph with the fact that I think RT is a great value by any measure and I am not complaining about anything, simply contemplating my renewal options.
When you sign up, you get access to all prior templates and all future templates during your membership term so when one first signs up, they are getting substantially more for their money then when they renew. For example, if you sign up new today for $90 you get 88 previous templates (counting the lab variations) plus a dozen or so future templates ($.90 / template to choose from), but when you renew (for $75 in this example) you are just gaining the dozen future templates ($6.25 / template to choose from). So you are paying 83% of the price of the original membership, but only getting about 12% of templates (from the renewal since you already had access to the prior ones). I understand you are also paying for additional entitlements (unless you are renewing a developer membership where you are buying time). So the question here is whether or not there is any reason not to wait until the next time I need a template or additional entitlement to renew, because if I hold off 6 months I will get 18 new templates rather than 12 for the same price, right?
Sorry for the "algebraic" question!!
