    • I have no idea, contact your host or use an FTP client to view the files.

    • Do this in your FTP client, manual or raw command:
      list -al

That will show your hidden files.

    • Hi JEM,

I made the changes to .htaccess file and also made sef on but I am having problems with it. It works good with menus. however when it comes to articles it gives me 404 error.
what could be causing the problem.
      Thanks

    • Gurban,

If you are using the Joomla core SEF, I suggest search or posting here:

      forum.joomla.org/viewforum.php?f=544&sid...de20beaa6de23993cf5e

This is really related to the Joomla core, and has nothing to do with the RT templates, or any other template for that matter.

While we don't mind helping out with simple Joomla questions like the basics of getting SEF running, it's really not our responsibility to trouble shoot this kind of thing.

Normally, to get Joomla's SEF running require one response, 'Enable it and rename the htaccess file', sometimes two responses if the RewriteBase needs to be changed.

Now it's still not sorted and this is post 20, so I think you have to do a little research yourself.

There could be other issues, 3rd party extensions not behaving properly with Joomla's core SEF, etc.

But again, that's something you have to research, if you have any 3rd party components installed, go to the developers site and find out if they work with Joomla's SEF.

      Some do not.

In that case, you may have to use a 3rd party SEF component and see if there are plugins for the components you have.

And as Yves stated this morning,
      Yves wrote:
Sorry Gurban, but you are not using a RocketTheme template, you should ask for support in the template's creator forum.
