I'm breaking my head for weeks trying to find a solution to this problem and nothing. My search module is not working. On localhost works normally, but at the provider is no longer working. Now disable the SEF and all modules to see if there was any incompatibility but nothing happens. Also installed another module for search, the "Heavenly Search Module" that gives me the same answer: "The page that you want to access does not exist. Please select a page from the Main Menu."
I think it is some action in MySQL but I'm not good on this tool and fear doing something wrong and make things worse. Someone went through a similar situation and could help me.
The address of my site is
www.tribunaanimal.org
- a Media Mogul template that works on 1.0.15 plataform.
In your administration, under mambots, there are several search mambots that need to be published. Have you checked if all search mambots are published yes or no?
very weird, normally the default search can also be called by: index.php?option=com_search
That also gives a page not found - or at least I think it says that, my spanish is limited to si and no ow and another word "chata" but then in the good way saying to a lady that is being a pain in the butt...
What I started thinking was... permissions. Can you check the following. In the administration, the menu called System > System Info and then click the tab Permissions.
There you see you folder permissions. Are all green and say "writable" ? If not change that
It's portuguese brow . Very funny, "chata" could means a boring person (female gender) or circunstance. Could be also a little flat boat that browse on rivers and swamps. Si (Yes) on portuguese is Sim and No is Não. Very similar, but they have essentials diferences. Don't worry my english is like a italian one.
Returning to the joomla...the folder permissions are all green
