Posted 16 years 3 weeks ago
    • i was wondering why my page is so slow and i just went to analyze.websiteoptimization.com/ and ran my page and the number of http requests is over 100 (which is too much) and the page size is over 300kb (3 times more than the recommended) did some research on it and now i know why that its the size of the template and the number of icons and images because each of them add one more http request. so im wondering what i can do about this. please help

    • Along with all the techie stuff, one thing you should look at is your host!

I recently moved two sites from one host to another and my sites are on average 2.5 times faster.

Both are shared hosting but the first has really over sold their capacity to serve.

If your site has moderate traffic, and you can find a good shared host, you'll probably be OK.

    • Host Gator is pretty good.

Search for 'hosting in here or in The Water Cooler, this had been discussed quite often.
