Hi, I thought I had it all going on, but nooooooo. I have basically finished the site and have uploaded the files via ftp after changing the settings on configuration.php to go with the database. Then I imported the sql file but it errored. Here it is:
SQL query:
-- phpMyAdmin SQL Dump
-- version 2.11.7.1
--
www.phpmyadmin.net
--
-- Host: localhost
-- Generation Time: May 05, 2009 at 01:13 PM
-- Server version: 5.0.41
-- PHP Version: 5.2.6

I see no tables before I imported. Shouldn;'t they have been created when I uploaded the configuration.php file. I haven't changed the log path or the tmp path. Could that be it???? HELP...
I made the mistake of promising my client. I have heard I can use joomla pack, but I want to know how this works. I have set up databases for Wordpress and calendars before...not sure what i did wrong....
Thanks in advance...

Ok, any chance you see where my error is though?????
Should I see the tables before importing sql or no....I'm trying to narrow down where my error is....

Well, I'm not a MySQL expert, so I can't tell you why it didn't work.
When doing this manually I usually export the DB as an SQL file (creating a .txt file) and then import the same file into the new DB (without creating tables).
you've been very helpful in this project. Your previous solutions allowed me to go on and make progress. I really am enjoying this joomla template solution! Have a great day....I'm off to use Joomlapack!

Except I ran into a major problem! I used joomlapack and it was great...until the end....as I clicked Site, I got this error...:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /homepages/24/d226027395/htdocs/osceolawoman/components/com_jevents/libraries/jicaleventrepeat.php on line 15
It is a big issue as I have the world's most demanding client screaming for completion.
I used Mysql 4.0 first ( same error) and then Mysql 5.0 (same error) DRAG!!!!
She really wants the event calendar bad or I'd snatch it out of the site. Any suggestions???

I am struggling figuring out what I really need to install in Jevents actually. I used the newest 1.5rc, but now even though the component is installed I can't see it in the module manager. I'm going to take a deep breath and look at it again,. It seems light on the docs on it....
