    • global settings are ..well... global

if you prefer only having that effect on certain pages,

when you write up your content, on the right pane one of the tabs reads "parameters"

check the settings there... create date, modify date, and author name

    • Chris, my young man. You really ask some challenging questions. They really have us all scratching our heads wondering what's next. You know you're really pushing the envelope for all us old timers. Every time we think we have you squared away, you come up with something that causes us to drop our jaw - it really forces us to go back to the books and see if that is really in there. I've really learned to think abstractly whenever I ponder your questions.

I'm not sure if you are aware, but Einstein (or is it Einstien, not sure), but he and just about every other scientist before and after, had made their discoveries before the age of 30. After that, Einstien was just sitting on the dole, collecting a check from some university, flirting with chicks and waiting to kick the bucket and play dice with God.

I honestly think that we are going to see a breakthrough with you. You're going to be slaving over a hot CSS file or trying to decipher PHP when, all of a sudden, the light is going to come on for you. It'll be like discovering the monolith on the moon (but first you got to bang around it, like a monkey with a bone) - you'll discover one of the most important moments of your life. Everything will come together and make sense and it will be like you found the meaning of life, the universe and everything - except it won't add up to 42.

Were really glad that you are here, Chris. We've seen you come from a person (who used his mom's name) was totally clueless about Joomla and how to get the RT templates to function, to a person that is only partially clueless - but learning!!

Seriously, Chris, I'm just funnin' with ya, but as just a part of the membership, you are one of the gang now and well liked by all. It's great to watch you grow in your understanding. In ten years, you will be at a place that you never dreamed of and you will remember all the trials and tribulations that you put us though - I mean, that you went through on your way to becoming a Dr. of Web Technology - of course, they might call it something else in ten years and you might decide to become a Proctologist.

Just wanted to encourage you, Chris and have a little fun. Keep up the learning and the good work - and don't ever back away from asking questions - no matter how idiotic we, I mean, you might think they are! We're here to help - to help us figure out what the heck you are talking about! Just kidding! ;D

      Blessing!

      dave

p.s. - Chris, I just noticed that you have more posts than anyone on this thread, so far, except me. Keep asking those questions, buddy!

What can I say? The Christmas party last night. Sorry! I can delete it, if you like - but it's hilarious. I should be writing for SNL! I should run and hide!

Chris, I hope you are a good sport about this! :-[

    • Well, maybe fortunately, the Moderator deleted a post in the Requests forum. I may have gone over the line with all the 'undulating and squirting' OOPS! Read this one while you can, it may be gone soon!!
