    • I need to install php soap on my server.

Can anyone tell me where on my server to put the soap zip file i downloaded?
And now to install in WHM or from shell access using Putty? I tried to use yum but it won't work.

      Thanks

    • Ok, this info cannot be found in such detail ANYWHERE on the web. Believe me i've checked. These guys talk over your head and skip a bunch of steps.
Here is a complete step by step on how to install php-soap module, or any module for that matter in WHM, Linux server. This assumes that you have access to root WHM interface and are familiar with WHM interface.

      1. In WHM, go to Software > Easy Apache
      2. Make sure "Previously Saved Config" is selected.
      3. At the bottom of the same screen, hit the "Start building based on profile" button
      4. Apache Version screen: Hit "Next Step" button (unless you choose to upgrade Apache version. In that case, select a newer version.)
      5. PHP Major Version screen: Hit "Next Step" button
      6. PHP Minor Version screen: Hit "Next Step" button
      7. !IMPORTANT! - Short Options List screen: Hit "Exhaustive Options List" button at the bottom - (unless you want to add more options, then select which you want ,then hit "Next Step")
      8. Exhaustive options screen: Click on "PHP 5" (or whatever version is showing). This is actually where you can install whatever PHP modules you want. For this tutorial, we are installing SOAP. Scroll down in the PHP 5 section and find SOAP and check it.
      9. Click on the "Save and Build" button and just follow the rest of the onscreen instructions.
      10. You have now successfully installed SOAP. No more paying big bucks for an easy task.

Hope this helps someone. I really could have used this when i needed to install modules.
