    • I received this message 5 days ago ... I have tried everything now my previous thread is left unanswered...

      Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 40 bytes) in /home/content/n/o/w/nowaybrains/html/libraries/joomla/error/exception.php on line 117

      I then uninstalled everything including Database and reinstalled ... I got to where it states makes sure the installation files are deleted ... which I did ... then clicked to contine ... I then received this error message again :

      Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 40 bytes) in /home/content/n/o/w/nowaybrains/html/libraries/joomla/error/exception.php on line 117

      I am at a complete loss ....
      It worked for 2 days then I did not touch it then this error happened !
      I have tried recreating php.ini / php5.ini .htaccess
      I've looked at the php.info and my ram is 16M
      There is no php script files over 36kb

    • After complete uninstall of everything .. one blank host !
      reinstall Joomla again
      then upload affinity and rok stories
      It is now working ...
      For how long ... is anyone's guess !

      Does anyone know if there are logs saved anywhere ? which could be the reason for my php break-down ... and myself in the matter !! ?
      Can I switch off the logs ? or delete them ??

      I have just experienced the same error "Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 40 bytes) in /home/bill/public_html/libraries/joomla/error/exception.php on line 117" & don't fancy having to install it all again. This is my very 1st attempt at installing a RocketTheme template!

      If anyone can help, that would be great.

    • You need to allow more memory to php in php.ini or .htaccess
    • Please reply with a direct link to the issue & create a new thread for each new issue.

    • Thanks for putting me on the right track prim. I noticed that .htaccess was empty probably due to the web server blocking my connection for port scanning right at that critical moment. I have since reinstalled the template etc and its now working fine.
