jForce?

    • Hello and good morning.
I am wondering if anyone here has the jForce component and if they would recommend it? I had purchased the jProjects and was very unhappy with it. However one person suggested the new jForce 2.0.

What do you (everyone that reads this) suggest for a project management system that is not hosted off our site, and (if possible) is integrated with joomla?

      Our basic needs:
      Task and project management
      task/project calendar
      user/group management (if possible)
      invoice/finance

      Thank you in advance,
      Sarrene' Grant

    • <nods> We had checked out the teamlog already. It does almost what we need, but still falls a wee bit short. I will check out that other one you suggested and see what that is like.

Thank so much! I will let you know if that one fits for us or not.

      Peace,
      Sarrene'

    • There are a bunch of decent hosted project management apps. We are in the process of trying to find the best one for our needs, or maybe just the best one period. We tried the JForce version 1 and the beta. It was decent, had a ton of potential, but we could not get it to work exactly the way we wanted. Here is a list of just a few to look at.

    • We ended up going with projectfork since that has almost everything we need. Everything but accounting. But that can be worked out later on im sure.

I think we had tried out about a dozen of them, both joomla components and stand alone. Out of all of them, projectfork (for joomla) and dotProject were the best we found for our needs.

Thank you for your thoughts and ideas. It is really appreciated.

      Peace,
      Sarrene'
