    • I am currently putting together a Joomla-SMF site for a company that wants to keep the information semi-private. The information is not so sensitive that it is vital to keep it secure but there is a desire to have it employee access only.

I know I can set up the forum to require approval to join and use the SMF registration through the bridge but what is the best way to protect the Joomla content? I have tried setting everything to registered user but it doesn't seem to be working as I had envisioned it.

What would be the best way to offer content ONLY to registered members?

    • Hi Gerard,

Did you try RT Rockbots in the Extensions area?

Here are some mambots I use with my Joomla! sites to protect individual content items. I created a tracking log for company employees of a trucking company and I used these bots. They work nicely.

      Cheers,

    • I had a similar issue, I wanted different levels of access then what was provided. I found a component JACLPlUS that fit exactly what I needed. I could create content for specific clients that only they could see. The site where you download it is rarely works www.byostech.com/ but every once in awhile it does. I would also make sure to back everything up before you install. Hope I am not scaring you lol

If you are unable to get the component just post and when I get home I will track it down and send it to you.
