Changing the Preset Styles

Hi, I am new at this, when I click on the template and then go to the drop down for the preset styles, I am getting this message:
The parameter file /templates/rt_nexus_j15/params.ini is unwritable!
How can I fix this? Thank you in advance!

- Retired, but build and run websites for organisations of school leaders and others - e.g. http://www.icponline.org, http://www.aspa.asn.au, http://www.appa.asn.au
- In the past, I've fixed that with other templates by using Filezilla to change the permissions for that file to make it writable.

- Yah, use an FTP client and set params.ini to 646 while editing. You can set it back to 644 when you are done.

Ive done it all. I dont know what else to try. If I go to the template manager and click on nexus, than change the preset, it goes back to telling me it is unwritable and does not change the colors. I changed this file to 646 and 777. Ive even gone as far as changing everything!

- As a last resort you can always edit the text in params.ini manually with your FTP client.
