Hey everyone, I have tried not to bother everyone with a shopping cart choice question, but after 24 hours of it I must....
I thank this forum for clearly describing the abilities of quick cart. It is a great solution if you don't need more than one area of products. I unfortunately do. I have a menu with different products and need each product to have a separate page that can have a buy option. I am having a challenge installing Virtue Mart for some reason with the auto installer. I am building in MAMP so I guess I can drag the files to the appropriate directories and install, if I can figure out the right directories. Is VM the best scenario, and should I just work through the install challenge?????
I have 100 different motorcycle parts a client is selling and I need what quick cart does look-wise, but with the flexibility I have already described. I am almost ready to build a page template myself and just add a Paypal button, but that's a pain because the editor blows it out so I have to build it with no editor....I could build it in dreamweaver and use a wrapper but it feels like I'm cheating the right method. SO, does anyone have any ideas? I trust this forum so I had to ask.......thanks....

It sounds like Virtuemart would be the bext Joomla native solution for you but there are many other options out there. You could use something like Magento and display it in a wrapper. There's also a bridge available on the JED.
Thanks Jim.....this might be a duplicate post..sorry of it is...
I posted to Virtue Mart's forum but no help yet.... not sure what to do. My client iscalling every hour now...I get a blank white screen when I try to install VM into my site. I am using MAMP and don't know if that's related....basically I am unsure how to solve this currently...
Thanks for replying!

I was thinking if I set it up in quickcart, I could use anchors so that when a customer selects a specific product via a dropdown ti goes directly to a specific product inside the quickcart... that seems like a workaround if I could do it....
